Mystery Cave of Maya






Once, Hanuman and the vanaras(monkeys) came across an inaccessible cave named "Rikshabilam" while on their search for Sita. In that cave, they found many precious jewels, luxurious apartments and palaces. They also came across a radiant ascetic woman named "Swayamprabha" who was clad only in deer-skin. When the vanaras asked who she was, she told them that she was the daughter of sage Merusavarni and this cave was built by Maya, a great magician.

Story Of Andal

  Vishnuchithan was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. He was childless and hence prayed to the Lord for a child. One day Lord Vishnu answered his prayers. He saw a girl child under a tulasi plant in the garden of a temple. He adopted the girl and named her Kothai. She was an incarnation of Bhudevi. But, Vishnuchithan was unaware of this.
