Curse Of Sarama

 

King Janamejaya (great grandson of Arjuna) along with his brothers was performing a snake sacrifice. At that time a dog came near the sacrifice and it was beaten up by the brothers. The dog then went weeping to it's mother, Sarama. Sarama asked if the dog had done anything wrong. When the dog replied that it hadn't, she got angry and cursed Janamejaya as his brothers had beaten up the dog without any reason, so evil will befall him when he least expects it.

    I feel, it would have been nice to read if you had continued the story until how the curse effected Janamejaya..right now it looks incomplete.

  Once upon a time Tulsi, the daughter of Dharmaraj, was visiting all the holy places reciting the name of Lord Vishnu in order to get married.   There was once an Asura named Surapadman. He was the son of Sage Kashyapa and Maya. He once performed a severe penance to please Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva who was pleased, appeared before him.
